MY STORY OF CHINESE CULTURE INTERNATIONAL SHORT VIDEO COMPETITION

SUGGESTED TOPICS

Topic 1:Stories of Nishan and Shandong

This category focuses on soliciting videos related to Confucian culture, Shandong culture, intangible cultural heritage, regional culture, urban culture and tourism, as well as short videos related to Jining’s history, culture, tourism, food, etc.

Topic 2:Cultural Communication in a Diversified World

This category focuses on stories related to Chinese culture around the world, such as how Chinese culture goes global, Sino-foreign cultural exchanges and interactions, and overseas activities related to Chinese culture.  

Topic 3:Discovering the Beauty of Culture

This category focuses on soliciting short videos related to traditional culture, modern civilization, and urban culture and tourism.

Topic 4:A Taste of China

This category focuses on soliciting short videos depicting storied about Chinese food that happened in China and other parts of the world, such as how foreigners enjoy and cook Chinese food, Chinese dishes found around the world, and stories about the origins of various delicacies.

REWARDS

The judging panel will decide on one First Prize winner (RMB 8,000), five Second Prize winners (RMB 3,000 each), and ten Third Prizes (RMB 2,000 each). The competition will also select four Specific Awards winners, namely Award for Best International Communication, Award for Best Story, Award for Best Videography and Award for Best Online Communication, and each winner will receive a prize of RMB 3,000.

QUALIFICATION

The competition is open to teams and individuals from all over the world, including Chinese institutions abroad, overseas Chinese individuals and organizations, foreigners living in China, and mainstream media and social media teams both at home and abroad. Each video shall not surpass ten minutes in length.

SUBMISSION OF VIDEO ENTRIES

Ways to submit your video:

1. Upload your video to your or your team account on Weibo. Follow the platforms’ instructions and tick your video with the tag of the competition name to sign up for “My Story of Chinese Culture” International Short Video Competition.
2. As an option, send your video to chineseculture@cnmatters.com or through Baidu/Google drive (with link and password). The subject line of your email should follow this format: Name-Title of the video-” Competition Submissions”.
